Time and Again, Since 1951

Walter J. Lindemann founded Lindeman’s Cleaning in 1951. The company was first located at 105 South Mason, on the corner of Walnut and Mason. The next year Walter’s son, Ken, joined the business. Lindeman’s Cleaning moved to its present location at 1231 South Monroe in March of 1958.

After Walter passed away in November of 1968, Ken assumed the reins and—with the assistance of dedicated associates—expanded the business, opening several new locations around the Green Bay area.

In September of 1975, Dennis Schmitt was hired as a part-time associate. In April of 1987, after 12 years at Lindeman’s, Dennis became a partner. In 1998 Ken Lindemann retired after 46 years in the business.

Today Dennis and his wife, Patti, own and operate Lindeman’s Cleaning. Together with their family and loyal associates, they have opened Lindeman’s locations throughout the area. After 65 years in business, Lindeman’s continues to improve and expand, offering a complete line of cleaning services including dry cleaning, laundry, leather cleaning, shoe repair, drapery cleaning and rehanging, alterations and repairs, fire restoration, seasonal storage, wedding gown preservation and more. Owner, Dennis Schmitt is known throughout the dry cleaning industry as experts in the field. Our team travels the United States teaching dry cleaning and spot removal techniques to other dry cleaners.

Lindeman’s Cleaning has always used environmentally friendly cleaning procedures for your clothing care needs. In recent years, we have been able to upgrade to an eco-friendly solution that has been structured to be even more friendly to our environment and—in our research—has shown to be best for maintaining the color and feel of fabric.

Lindeman’s Cleaning firmly believes in educating our associates with the information we receive from the Drycleaning and Laundry Institute (DLI) as well as the International and Wisconsin Fabricare Institutes, the Better Business Bureau (of which we are a member) and through seminars related to the clothing and dry cleaning industry. Our staff has almost 300 years of knowledge and experience to bring our valued customers, the superior service you deserve.
